Plants vs. Zombies: Retake the Lawn
A top-down action fan-game based around the Plants vs. Zombies franchise, in the style of Enter the Gungeon.
Take the lawn as Crazy Dave in his valiant quest to save his beloved taco from undead hands! Travel the neighborhood, growing your plant arsenal and face the zombie horde.
The goal of this project was celebrate the classic Plants vs. Zombies franchise and to make a cool little thing. It was made by a team of two over the course of about a month for a school project.
Made using Gamemaker and Aseprite.
This game is no longer in active development. All the features are in and locked. This game did have a rushed development cycle so there will be bugs. If you find them, I'm sorry, but if they're significant, you can comment them. I might fix them, I might not.
Obviously we don't own any of the IP's or audio used. Hopefully EA doesn't find us too soon but enjoy it until then.

maybe the unpause button shouldn't be exclusively escape, because escape in full screen mode makes it no longer full screen mode, and turning on full screen mode pauses the game
This is so smooth and cool I love it! I also love how you borrowed elements from multiple pvz games (the heart from Garden Warfare, pumpkin sound effect from PVZ2's wallnut's plant food sound effect...and so much more!) I love it!
Amazing game, loved the Gungeon-styled gameplay, the variety of weapons and sub-weapons!
Hopes and hypes for this to get expanded further!
